Minimum order quantity and samples
What is the minimum order quantity for paprika powder, dried chilli and dehydrated garlic?
MOQ: dried chilli 1 container; paprika powder, chili powder and other processed products 5 tons; stock items available with no MOQ. Send us the product, specification and approximate quantity and we will reply with a quote.
Do you offer free samples before a bulk order?
Yes. For paprika and chili products we offer a free 200 g evaluation sample so you can test color, heat and particle size in your own recipe. Samples of dehydrated garlic are confirmed on inquiry, and shipping arrangements are confirmed before dispatch.
Can I mix different products in one container?
Whether different products can share one container is confirmed on inquiry. Send us the list of products and quantities you need, and we will tell you what can be combined and quote it.
Lead time and shipping
What is the lead time after order confirmation?
Lead time is confirmed on inquiry. It depends on the product, specification, any special processing such as steam sterilization or custom mesh, and the season. Tell us your required arrival date and we will say whether it can be met.
How long does shipping take to my country?
Transit time depends on the destination port and shipping line, so it is confirmed on inquiry. We ship from Jiaozhou, which has convenient access to Qingdao Port. Tell us your destination port and we will include the schedule in our quote.
ASTA color and heat (SHU)
What ASTA color values do you offer for paprika powder?
Our sweet paprika powder is listed in 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200 and 220 ASTA. Smoked paprika comes in 120, 160 and 220 ASTA, and crushed paprika and paprika flakes are 160 ASTA. Color is verified by the ASTA 20.1 spectrophotometric method.
What is the SHU of your chilli products?
Chili powder grades 1–4 are listed from 2,000 to 40,000 SHU, and kimchi chili powder from 10,000 to 35,000 SHU. Chili flakes and crushed chilli come at 8,000–10,000 SHU or 20,000 SHU. Whole Chaotian and Yidu chilli are around 10,000 SHU and Jinta chilli around 15,000 SHU. Our sweet paprika powder stays below 500 SHU.
Can you produce to a specific ASTA or SHU target?
Yes. Paprika and chili powders can be produced to a customized ASTA and SHU specification. Send your target range and tolerance, and we confirm feasibility before quoting. Where required, SHU is verified as capsaicinoid content by HPLC (AOAC 995.03).
Mesh and cut sizes
What mesh sizes are available for paprika powder and garlic powder?
Paprika powder is milled to 60–80 mesh, and our 60 ASTA grade is also offered at 60 or 70 mesh or a custom mesh. Garlic powder is available at 80–100 mesh or 100–120 mesh. For garlic granules, the screen sizes are 5–8, 8–16, 16–26, 26–40 and 40–80 mesh.
What cut sizes do you offer for chilli flakes and garlic flakes?
Chilli flakes are offered as a 3–5 mm cut, with or without seeds, and crushed chilli at 8–12 mesh. Dehydrated garlic flakes are 1–3 mm, with or without root. Paprika flakes are available at 3–5 mm or 9 mm.
Residues and testing
Do your products meet EU and US pesticide residue limits?
We check each order's pesticide limits against the applicable EU pesticide residue standards or US FDA requirements before production starts. The exact limits are agreed for your destination market. Pesticide-residue documentation for the batch can be supplied on request.
Do you test for aflatoxin, Sudan dyes and microbiology?
Yes. Our paprika and chilli specifications set aflatoxin B1 below 5 ppb and total aflatoxin below 10 ppb, no Sudan Red or other added color, and negative Salmonella. Our on-site laboratory is equipped for microbiological and physical-chemical analysis. Garlic microbiological limits are agreed per contract.
Do you provide a COA and third-party lab report for each shipment?
A batch Certificate of Analysis is available for every order on request. Third-party laboratory reports can also be arranged. Tell us which laboratory or test panel your market requires when you order.
Packing, loading and private label
How are your products packed for export?
Paprika and chili powders, flakes and crushed products are packed in 20 kg or 25 kg kraft paper bags with a PP liner. Whole chilli and paprika pods go in compressed woven bags or cartons. Garlic powder and granules are packed in 25 kg cartons holding two 12.5 kg aluminum-foil bags.
How many tons fit in a 20ft or 40ft container?
Container loading depends on the product form, bag or carton size and container type, so we confirm it on inquiry. Pressed whole pods load differently from bagged powders. We state the exact tonnage for your order in the quotation.
Do you offer private label or custom packaging?
Yes. We offer OEM and private-label packing, and outer packaging can be made to your order. Share your artwork, pack size and labeling requirements, and we confirm options and cost with the quote.
